Characteristics & applications

  • Alkaline cleaning concentrate for oil residues, hydrocarbon residues, inert gas residues and residues of soot and combustion. Removal of black/brownish residues after cargoes like crude benzene, creosote dirty naphtha, gas condensate etc.
  • Free of solvents
  • Free of phosphates
  • Cause no danger to human health and to the environment
  • No dangerous good in regulation of transport (land, sea and air)

Spec. gravity : 1.035
Storage temperature : -5 to +30°C
Foam formation : slightly foaming
Solubility in H2O : complete




Application for use:

  • Suitable in freshwater.
  • Recommended concentration for re-circulation cleaning: 5-10%
  • Recommended concentration for manual cleaning/spraying: 10 %

Cleaning temperature : 10 - 80°C
Packing : Drums of 200 ltr/kg and
pails of 20 ltr/kg.

Safety Aspects

  • avoid contact with eyes and skin
  • in case of irritation rinse with plenty of water
Wastewater

  • Contains biodegradable surface active agents, chelating agents, meta silicate, potassium hydroxide and additives (biodegradable > 90%)
  • Approved by IMO in accordance with Marpol Annex 2 and IBC code.
Tank Material
  • Safe to use on stainless steel and alkali resistant coatings (e.g. Epoxy).
  • KT-Plus is not suitable for zinc silicate coatings (alkaline cleaner)
